Pancakes with Mixed Berry Syrup
It's a full on snow storm today in Chicago, which means schools were cancelled aka I had nothing to do all day. Obviously that calls for cozy-ing up, making yummy food, and binge watching Broad City. I'm a huge lover of pancakes so of course it only made since to wrap myself up in a blanket and make this super easy dish. Here's what you'll need!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 cup of blackberries
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of water
- whipped cream (optional)
- pancake mix of your choice!
Combine water, berries, and sugar into a sauce pan, stir. Put the stove top heat on medium and cover for about 6 minutes. Uncover and turn the heat on simmer. Be careful when doing this but try to taste test so you can add more or less of what you want. Leave the pan uncovered and start on your pancakes. After you finish up your pancakes top them with the berry syrup and whipped cream.
